Buffalo One models the Pearce G1 and BC1, each in stock and BS mod form, giving you four selectable units in one plugin. The stock G1 and BC1 models pass the same bench tests Pearce used in production for the original hardware. It was reconstructed from original circuit schematics and the handwritten engineering notes behind the celebrated “BS mod.” That source material allowed us to trace the original designs and the purposeful component changes that shaped their distinctive voices. The plugin was then tested directly against an original hardware unit, refining its response until the feel, tonal balance and interaction between both channels matched the real circuit. The result preserves authoritative low-end weight on one side and articulate, harmonically rich drive on the other.
