Setting up and getting help with Optymyse Audio software.

Buffalo One for iPhone and iPad

Getting started

Buffalo One requires iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. Connect your bass or guitar through a compatible audio interface and listen through headphones or the interface outputs. Open Buffalo One and allow microphone access when prompted. The app begins processing audio when the input and output are ready.

In an AUv3 host

Add an Audio Unit effect and choose Optymyse Audio: Buffalo One. Route your instrument or track into it. The standalone app does not need to remain open when a host is running the extension.

If you hear nothing

Check microphone permission, the interface's input gain, the host's input routing and monitoring, the channel-enable lamps, and Buffalo One's input and output levels. With the built-in microphone and speaker selected together, the standalone app waits for headphones to prevent feedback. Connect headphones or an interface before playing. Start with a low listening level.

Controls and presets

Drag a dial vertically to adjust it, double-tap to reset it, or tap its readout to type a value. Choose a factory sound from the preset menu, or import and export .bfopreset files through Files. A preset changes the sound while preserving your input and output rig trims.

Getting help

Email audio@optymyse.com with your device, iOS version, interface, and host app and its version, plus the steps that reproduce the problem. Tap the Optymyse mark on the faceplate to find the build information. Include a preset only if you want us to inspect it. App Store purchase and refund requests are handled through Apple.
